Step 2

The picture on the left is one of the many interesting variations out polygon intersection function is currently drawing. The sphere intersection works as intended, but the polygon has given us many interesting pictures, none of which are the simple polygon we have given it.

The image on the right is the correct version.

Project Description

Project Description: Our project will be a particle system that is affected realistically by gravity while being contained in a box. The particle system will have shading effects and illumination. The particles will initially start out like drops, and then they will fall into the box and realistically react with each other and their surroundings with a collision detection system.

Work Plan: We are going to start with the initial particle and window set up. Then we are going to apply the realistic gravity force onto the particle. With a working force, we need to develop collision detection and reaction. Once that is complete, we will move on to the shading and texture of the particle. Then we will finish it off by adding multiple particles and making them react to each other.

Division of Labor: We will try to divide things up evenly, but at this time do not know how such things will occur.

Demo/Presentation: The final demo will be simple. We will show off all the particles inside the box, then make them fall and stack onto each other with realistic gravity and collision.
